Day +365 (6/22) Happy Anniversary, Fallyn!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Fallyn! Where did the year go? Sitting in the room on 5D, there were days that minutes dragged on like hours & days. And now here we are celebrating her 1 year anniversary! Wow, the remainder of the year flew by. This is fantastic. Fallyn has definitely had a remarkable improvement in her quality of life as well as her prospects for a longer, healthier and happier one. We continue to hope for further improvement.

Day +314 (5/4) Some new issues.. perhaps new challenges

We have been dealing with some issues lately that I thought were GVHD (Graft Versus Host Disease). Thankfully they were not. They are, however, apparently signs of an allergic reaction to the Bactrim (sulfa drug) she needs to take. Now we have to start a new medication, with a twist...

Day +303 (4/23) Still improving

Fallyn finally agreed to get back in the bath tub. We are now doing bath & bandage changes every other day. It is trying. Initially she would not let me put anything in the water. Yesterday we talked about needing to change bandages today and she said "I made a bad decision getting back in the tub..."

Day +208 (1/15) Homeward bound.

We had time for some cheese steaks for breakfast in the food court and then proceeded to our gate. Well the gate as printed on our boarding pass was no longer valid, it was moved... (you guessed it)... to the opposite side of the airport terminal, almost as far away as possible. We made it there in time to board as they called for those needing assistance and the flight went without a hitch...
