Welcome to Fallyn's Dad's blog telling her story and about her progress. As of now, Fallyn has started treatment... the countdown to Day "0" (bone marrow transplant day) has finished and Fallyn is now in the +'s (days after the transplant).  Thank you all for your continued support and prayers.

Day +175 (12/14)... Christmas season

Fallyn continues to progress. Changes are constantly, manifestly evident. Bandage changes take less time and wounds heal markedly different than they use to. She is still her own worst enemy though and continues to cause damage (but she is not itchy!)...

Days 130-142 (to 11/11) Weird Wound...

In an effort to stop Fallyn from tearing up her forearms so much, today I had her nurse, Susanne start leaving them unwrapped for a significant portion of her day while a nurse is here. (I got the hours of coverage increased to 12 hrs/day Monday through Friday & 8hrs on Saturday & Sunday... hopefully the agency’s want ad in the paper will provide more staffing.) The air exposure should be a good thing too.

Day +117 (10/17) Crowded waiting rooms... not so good

Fallyn is thriving at home, but now wants out of the house. It has been cold and for the most part rainy here this past week and will probably stay that way for a bit. She has lots of things to occupy her time when not being tended to by her nurse, Suzanne, or having school with Mrs. Kissell...
